Durante todo este tiempo, Instagram ha recibido miles de peticiones para que los GIFs volvieran a la aplicación, ya que era muy usada. Además, también han incidido en la necesidad de revisar las políticas generales de Instagram.
Tres semanas después de que los retiraran los han restablecido y ya vuelven a estar disponibles para los mismos usuarios que los tenían desde antes, ya que todavía no han llegado a todas las cuentas.
Desde Giphy aseguran que han revisado los GIFs para que no vuelva a suceder y se posicionan totalmente en contra de cualquier tipo de contenido racista. Están trabajando para que no haya ningún nuevo error dentro de los filtros de moderación.
Como era de esperar, los usuarios han celebrado la vuelta de los GIFs a Instagram, una de las aplicaciones más utilizadas en la actualidad:
