Twitter está experimentando varios cambios los últimos meses, el más importante ha sido ampliar el límite de caracteres por tuit de 140 a 280. Además, con la aparición de relatos como los de Manuel Bartual también ha facilitado a los usuarios la creación de hilos, varios mensajes en cadena que cuentan un mismo hecho. Ahora la red social de microblogging quiere centrar sus cambios en la cámara, para que las personas compartan experiencias más fácilmente y rápidamente. De esta forma intenta atraer nuevos usuarios y que los que se fueron vuelvan a usar Twitter.
Aún no está confirmado pero los rumores apuntan que Twitter podría añadir algo parecido a las historias de Snapchat, ya que su consejero delegado ha elogiado “la red social del fantasma” diciendo que le parece muy moderna. Twitter tiene la sensación de que la gente no comparte excesivas fotos y vídeos en la plataforma porque por ahora no es un proceso rápido. Por eso la plataforma quiere acortar los pasos y que sea mucho más fácil.
Twitter llevaba unos años estancado en números de usuarios, pero parece que está resurgiendo poco a poco. Desde que su cofundador Dorsey volviese en 2015 los analistas han notado que los cambios están funcionando y que los usuarios regresan con mayor asiduidad a la plataforma.
