Según un estudio de la empresa de investigación Survata realizado en Estados Unidos, Facebook y Google empatan en la primera plaza en lo referente a la percepción positiva de la publicidad. El segundo puesto lo comparten Pinterest e Instagram, seguidos de Youtube y Snapchat, dejando en último lugar a Twitter.
Pero los resultados cambian si nos fijamos solo en los jóvenes ya que, en este caso, es Instagram la red social que proporciona una mejor experiencia publicitaria para jóvenes con edades comprendidas entre los 18 y los 24 años. Le sigue de cerca Google y posteriormente Facebook. Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest, volviendo a ser el último lugar para Twitter.
Pero el estudio también se ha fijado en analizar qué anuncios incitan más a comprar el producto que anuncian y ahí el ganador es Google, seguido de cerca por Facebook. En lo referente a la confianza que les dan los anuncios a los usuarios, de nuevo Google vuelve a imponerse repitiendo Facebook segundo lugar.
Las conclusiones de este estudio son que Facebook y Google dominan en experiencia publicitaria en ámbitos generales, pero que en lo referente a los jóvenes la ganadora es Instagram, una red social que no deja de crecer y se encuentra quizás en su mejor momento. Por otra parte, vemos que Twitter y la publicidad no atraen a los usuarios quedando en último lugar en casi todos los ámbitos que se han analizado.
